  1. What are the differences between version 2.0 and version 2.1:
  2.  
  3.   ShareSpell will now handle words longer than 20 characters.
  4.  
  5.   If you enter the file name as parameter at the DOS prompt it no
  6.   longer displays the file name momentarily (it was just an
  7.   annoyance to some people).
  8.  
  9.   Pressing the <RETURN> key will now make it only ignore the current
  10.   occurrence of the word in question.  This is the way it should have
  11.   been from the beginning.  The <ESC> key is for ignoring the word
  12.   throughout the entire document.
  13.  
  14.   Fixed the problem with ShareSpell capitalizing the 2nd, 3rd and
  15.   so on correction of a corrected word (this was only in some of the
  16.   copies of v2.0).

  18.   The start up beg screen has been moved to when you exit the ShareSpell
  19.   for those who use it by shelling out of their text editor.  Now it
  20.   will not pause and wait for you to press a key before starting the
  21.   spell check.

  23.   The display of the document as it passed by has also been updated.
  24.   Before when you had corrected a word if it occurred later in the
  25.   document the misspelling would be displayed on the screen even
  26.   though the text in the file had been corrected.

  28.   The most noticeable change is when you start ShareSpell up without
  29.   a file name on the command line.  Instead of asking for a file name
  30.   it displays a list of the files in the directory so that you can
  31.   use the cursor keys to move around and select the file.

  34. What are the differences between version 1.6 and version 2.0:
  35.  
  36.   Version 2.0 uses an all new 112,000+ word disk based dictionary.
  37.   DICMAN has been added to the system.  It allows you to maintain
  38.   your dictionary.  Features include Adding and Deleting words or
  39.   groups of words from the dictionary add large groups of words to
  40.   the dictionary or making a file of all the words that you have added
  41.   to the dictionary and more.

  44. What is different from version 1.5 to 1.6:
  45.  
  46.   Version 1.6 now will not molest non-ASCII characters greater than 127.
  47.   So if you use borders and characters graphics in your document ShareSpell
  48.   will leave them alone.

  50.   A .BAK file will be made of the file that you spell check.  That way if
  51.   you check the spelling of a file and decide that you would rather go
  52.   back to the first unchecked version you can delete the file and rename
  53.   the .BAK file to that of the original's.

  55.   You can now use the <F7> key to mark a word you are now sure of for
  56.   later correction.  Use of the <F7> key will only place a '@' symbol
  57.   before the word and ignore all other occurrences of it in the document.

  59.   The deeper search from version 1.5 has been made the normal search.

  65.   Improvement on the handling of apostrophized words again (a.k.a BUG FIX!)

  67.   The search for suggested misspellings is MUCH faster now.

  71.   If you use the command line interface (i.e. SS filename) you will be told
  72.   if the file does not exist before going to the opening screen.

  78.   Improved handling of APOSTROPHIZED words

  80.   You can now place ShareSpell and the dictionary in a subdirectory
  81.   that is in your PATH= command and ShareSpell will finds the dictionary
  82.   and run.  No matter what your current subdirectory is.

  84.   Pressing <ENTER> to skip the current word will now skip all the OCCURRENCES
  85.   of it in the document, just like the <ESC> ignore command.

  88. What is different from version 1.2 to 1.3:

  90.   A much larger dictionary - The Dictionary now contains over 51,000 words.

  92.   Faster  - Suggestions of misspelled words in now 10 times faster than in
  93.             version 1.2.  It makes the program much easier to use.

  95.   Invoke a command early   - You can now press the the RETURN (ignore word)
  96.                              key or the ESC (ignore word in document) key
  97.                              before it is finished finding all suggestions.

  99.   Bug fix  - Version 1.2 would put the corrected document in the ShareSpell
  100.              directory with a file name of SS.$$$ if the file you were
  101.              checking was not in the ShareSpell directory.  It has been fixed.

  103.   Bug fix  - Fixed the problem where ShareSpell would mess up the current line
  104.              of the screen if you replaced the last word on the line.  It only
  105.              effected the display.
